Commercial and residential buildings in Canada are responsible for 18% of Canada’s greenhouse gas emissions, and the government seeks to support Canadians in making their properties more efficient to fight climate change. Homeowners are eligible for up to $600 for the cost of pre-retrofit EnerGuide evaluation, post-retrofit EnerGuide evaluations, and up to $5000 in total for the implementation of eligible retrofits.
Both the pre-retrofit evaluation and post-retrofit evaluation are requirements to receive the retrofit grant. To qualify for any of the available clean energy grants Canada offers, you must complete at least one of the retrofits that your energy advisor recommends in their pre and post-retrofit report
